COMING VERY SOON! IN PROGRESS.  Discover Dine and Dive – Join us for an adventure at Lake Barrine like no other!

How many people can say that they’ve dived in an extinct volcano? Join us for an adventure like no other…These fun-packed private trips are great for divers and non-divers alike.

Blue Dive and Blue Adventures Wildlife Tours have combined forces to develop exciting new 100% privately guided trips to Lake Barrine in the Atherton Tablelands.

Lake Barrine is a volcanic crater lake which formed around 17,000 years ago. Now ringed by lush tropical rainforest and filled with clear rainwater, Lake Barrine is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and a haven for wildlife. Learn about the history, flora, and fauna of this incredible location from our experienced guides before submerging for a truly unique dive.

Over time many rainforest trees have fallen into the lake, making for an atmospheric dive as you duck and weave through preserved branches, and look up to see countless lilypads. The lake is inhabited by several species of fish. It is also home to freshwater turtles, eastern water dragons, long-finned eels, and countless bird species. Surfacing in the middle of a tranquil rainforest is an experience not to miss!

Sitting at 730m above sea level, means that this is also an Altitude dive which can count toward your PADI Advanced Open Water certification (please give us prior notice if you wish to receive credit towards a course.) Our experienced guides are all certified PADI Instructors who will guide you through all necessary procedures.

Lake Barrine is an ideal location to complete PADI Speciality courses such as Altitude Diver, Peak Performance Buoyancy, and Navigation. Please email us for more details.

After completing your dive we head into the award winning family-owned Lake Barrine Teahouse for a delicious restaurant lunch (all included in the price!).

After lunch you will even have the chance to spot some incredible wildlife as we take you to stops visited on our Blue Adventures Wildlife Tours; marsupials, lizards, perhaps even a duck-billed platypus!

These fun-packed private trips cost $385 per diver, minimum 2 qualified divers or 1 qualified diver and 2 non-diving passengers.

Non-diving passengers $185, children (4-15) $170.

Includes day trip, expert Blue Adventures guide, full equipment hire, and restaurant lunch.
