Our private Port Douglas scuba refresher courses are conducted in the comfort of a tropical resort swimming pool. No waves and no currents, just you and our experienced PADI dive instructor running back over the diving equipment and underwater skills. This is perfect for certified divers who have not dived for a while and are feeling a little nervous about heading straight out to sea. This ensures you receive individualised support and instruction. Please note that prior to commencing your scuba refresher course, we do require you to have completed the PADI Reactivate eLearning module. This is an additional cost, that is payable direct to PADI. If you learnt to dive with another agency, please email us and we can arrange reactivate online for you. Please note we require a minimum of 2 guests to run our Port Douglas scuba refresher course. The cost is $275 per person and it lasts between 2-3 hours. It includes a review of basic diving theory and completion of a fun skill circuit in the pool, with plenty of time for questions and practice.
Various health conditions, including but not limited to asthma, fainting episodes and heart and lung problems, will prevent you from scuba diving. Anyone wanting to participate must be in good medical health and is required to complete a Medical Questionnaire and sign a form confirming their health on the day of the course.
If you answered ‘Yes’ to any of the above questions, you Must bring a “Clearance to Dive” which states the condition(s) and is signed by your doctor, dated within the last 12 months. If you are unsure, it is crucial that you contact us prior to booking and we can advise. If you require medical clearance to dive please download the PADI Medical Statement and have it completed by a doctor. Our private scuba refresher courses Port Douglas will get you back up to speed with the equipment and basic skills required for scuba diving, in the safe environment of a tropical resort swimming pool. On successful completion, you’ll be ready and confident to head out and explore the Great Barrier Reef and/or continue to advance your scuba qualifications with Blue Dive. To participate in a scuba refresher course you must already have an entry level certificate through PADI (or SSI / BSAC / NAUI / other dive agency). Want To Take It To The Next Level?
